This summer, co-founder Matthew and Nuon partner Paul headed to DIA Amsterdam for a two-day event packed with inspiration and industry insights, bringing our trademark neon yellow glow to the show.
Having been a part of DIA before, we were familiar with the importance of this show in the insurtech calendar. Our experience at DIA Amsterdam 2022 cemented our belief that this is the European showcase for insurance tech innovation, providing an excellent platform to get immersed into a very European ecosystem.
For other start-up and scale-up insurtechs, these are the top learnings we took away from the show.
You don’t have to blow the budget
Take advantage of the early-bird ticket offers and for very early-stage companies, exhibition attendance is probably sufficient. Our number one insider tip…if you do opt for an exhibition booth, secure your spot for day one when attendees are primed for the event ahead.
Stand out and make an impact
For us, this came from our bold brand colours and exciting product visuals. The event is set up to cater for all kinds of companies, so make sure your brand has a platform to shine. Look at what makes your brand and proposition truly unique and build your plan around that.
Take the opportunity to network
Ensure your goals and objectives for attendance are clear. Are you there to gain new business, build your brand, learn from others in the market…all of the above? Once you’ve mapped out your day, use DIA’s excellent app for setting up networking, and be sure to follow up within a day for maximum impact.
Book your Uber to the airport early, as the venue is not centrally located!
